We are pleased to share with you an update of celebration of environmental awareness and action taking place at Marina Bay Sands from 31 May till 14 September, along with several refreshed installations at Future World: Where Art Meets Science.

A celebration of environmental awareness and action will take place at Marina Bay Sands from 31 May till 14 September. Anchored by ArtScience Museum’s Sustainable Futures season, the integrated resort (IR) invites visitors to co-create their own eco-conscious journeys through a captivating line-up of artworks, workshops and sustainable retail activations across property. This campaign is held in tandem with Go Green SG – a national movement by the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment (MSE) – which the IR is proudly supporting for the third consecutive year to help cultivate a more sustainable and climate-resilient Singapore.

Visitors can begin their adventure at ArtScience Museum, which grounds this season with a variety of experiences specially curated to explore diverse perspectives, spark empathy for the environment and inspire action. One of the highlights includes the Southeast Asian premiere of South Korean artist Do Ho Suh’s collaborative children’s exhibition Artland – a fantastical ecosystem featuring a growing series of islands inhabited by whimsical characters and landscapes sculpted from colourful clay. First conceived by Do Ho Suh's two daughters in 2016, it is meant to be expanded through the public participation of both children and the young at heart, who can contribute their own clay creations to this imaginative world of make-believe.

Meanwhile, permanent exhibition Future World: Where Art Meets Science is reopening with major new installations by teamLab that deepen their ongoing exploration of nature – from the life cycles of flowers to how animals perceive their environment. The Museum’s new Sustainable Futures Film Festival further brings these themes to the screen, offering intimate portraits of people and places at the front lines of environmental change. Elsewhere on property, guests can engage creatively with biodiversity at a new workshop at Digital Light Canvas by teamLab as well as enjoy exclusive plant-based menus and sustainable retail offerings.

Look Forward to

Immerse yourself in a world of art, science, magic and metaphor through a collection of digital interactive installations. Future World takes visitors on an exciting journey of discovery through two sections - City in Nature and Exploring New Frontiers. This permanent exhibition is created in collaboration with teamLab, a renowned international art collective.
